When Shady Acres decided it needed a website to reach a wider audience and provide information for its clients, it soon became clear they needed a professional copywriter. As I had no original copy to work with for this project, I started from scratch, and was required to research most of the information to ensure I was writing relevant and effective content.
As a result of my clear and persuasive web copy, Shady Acres had an increase in bookings for pets the following months after the website went live. The staff also had more time to focus on their work and less time on the phone, an improvement directly related to the FAQ section I wrote for the Shady Acre's website.
Clear Assembly is a small web design and digital marketing agency based in Brisbane. After re-designing their website and brochure they called me in to write some copy and look over what they already had.
Their aim was clear and concise content that detailed their product in as few words as possible. Because their philosophy on website and design differs from conventional standards, it was imperative that this philosophy be delivered with copy that was easy to understand.
I improved their original content by proof-reading and editing it. I also wrote extra copy to clarify and strengthen their mission statement while keeping with the same tone of their existing copy.
Vision Health had just undergone a major re-branding of their website when I was called in to re-write their old copy. While editing and writing I took into consideration that exercise physiology is a new industry, and so tailored the content to focus on what made this industry, and Vision in particular, different from gyms and personal trainers.
To ensure readers of the website that exercise physiology was a legitimate industry that was crucial to improving people's health, I edited Vision's existing clients' testimonials and placed emphasis on the trainers' professional qualifications.
Watersaver Gardens is a small, Toowoomba-based business that needed content for their new website within a tight budget. Keeping to the limitations of the budget, I wrote exceptional copy for the website and brochure, as well as editing and proof-reading its press-release for Gardening Australia.
Michele Andrews needed a new website to brand herself as a professional psychologist working in two different practices. She came to me wanting content that displayed her professional capabilities while advertising herself as a clinical psychologist, all within a short time-frame. I delivered the powerful and clear content before the deadline.
While re-designing their website, MIN Energy employed me to edit and rewrite their existing copy for greater clarity. As the website was extremely content-heavy, coming in at over 5,000 words, this was a job that required patience and understanding of an unfamiliar industry (mining).
After editing and re-writing the word count was reduced by a third, and the content was all the better for it. MIN's website stood out among a range of other mining website with dreary and uninspiring copy due to my powerful and compelling content.
MIN's website has not yet updated its content, so I have provided examples from the website copy below.
